ESSEX TOURISM AWARDS 2011

Leo Print are once again sponsoring the Essex Tourism Awards. 

Everyone hopes that 2011 will be a great year for tourism in the UK and most certainly the East Anglia counties have lots of character and attractions to offer our visitors, especially our very own Essex and close neighbour Suffolk.  Did you know that Essex has the longest coastline in the UK? No Kidding !

The awards are organised by Archant, with main sponsors Visit Essex and Leo Print, Essex Chambers of Commerce and Birketts llp coming from the business community. www.archantsuffolk.net/tourism/essex/sponsors/

Details of the 15 categories and application forms can currently be found on www.archantsuffolk.net/tourism/essex. So if you are interested in entering your business or visitor attraction, then follow the link, take a look at the categories and get your application in as soon as possible.

Archant have now extended the closing date for entries to 5pm on Friday 22nd July 2011.

The awards will be presented at a Black Tie Dinner at the Radisson Blu, Stansted on Thursday 13th October 2011.

2010 TOURISM AWARD WINNERS

Since it's inception in 2006, Leo Print have always sponsored the Suffolk Tourism Awards. This year it was the turn of Essex.

Leo Print sponsored the category of BEST LARGE VISITOR ATTRACTION and, on the 23rd September 2010 at Le Talbooth, we very proudly presented the award to the Winners - Barleylands. Take a look at www.archantsuffolk.net/tourism/essex/galleries to see loads more pictures from 2009 and 2010.

Runners up in this category were Colchester Zoo and the Chelmsford Museum & Essex Regiment Museum. 

Congratulations also to our local Colne Valley Railway who took the prize for BEST SMALL VISITOR ATTRACTION - well done to Brian and the team.
